Registered Therapy Intern
Emily Hardy MSW, RCSWI
Understanding and communicating emotions can be stressful to children and adolescents. During session clients explore their emotions and experiences through creative outlets. I create a nurturing and supportive environment that allows clients to foster personal growth and healing.
I am passionate about creating a safe environment for my clients to feel heard and understood.
My experience includes anxiety, depression, trauma, coping skills, and self-esteem. I utilize expressive therapy, strength-based perspective theory, and trauma informed approaches.
As a Tallahassee native you can find me spending time on walking trails, hanging out with friends and family, or playing with my two pups!

Ph.D Student Therapist
Daniel Smedley, MFT
Using a strong background in couple and family therapy models and an emphasis on trauma-informed care, my main goal in therapy is to help people feel safe and empowered as they navigate through their own complex challenges. I have a passion for helping couples and families find healing through increased awareness, deeper emotional connection, better communication, and through creating new pathways of growth. I also enjoy helping individuals increase their emotional regulation skills, overcome negative thought processes, and find strategies for healing past emotional hurts or thriving as a person.
I grew up enjoying hiking and skiing in the mountains of Utah, and after receiving a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science (2021) and an M.S. in Marriage and Family (2023) Therapy from Brigham Young University, I now find myself pursuing schooling at FSU where I hope to further develop as a researcher and clinician and contribute to our understanding and application of how families heal and grow.
I am currently accepting new clients at a rate of $100 per session. Please feel free to reach out and schedule a session today!
