Who I Am
I’m a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern (RMHCI) passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s complexities and reconnect with their inner strengths. I earned both my Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University, where I also completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
I support adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, including work and career stress. I’m especially drawn to working with people who are carrying a lot internally, feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and who want a space to better understand themselves and move toward meaningful change.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy should be flexible, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. My style is warm, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity. I draw from a mix of modalities, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you understand what’s driving your thoughts and feelings, gently challenge patterns that no longer serve you, and build practical skills to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. My approach centers on you as a whole person, valuing your experiences and strengths throughout the process.
Together, we’ll begin by creating a foundation of trust and understanding, then work toward practical tools and insights that support your well-being and empower you to take control of your journey.
Who I Work With
My clients come from all walks of life and face a wide range of mental health and life challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or the pressure of major life transitions, my goal is to create a space where you don’t have to keep it all together. Here, you can be honest, feel supported, and begin moving toward what matters most to you.
Outside the Office
When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me walking through one of Tallahassee’s parks, grabbing an iced coffee, or building a new Lego set to add to my collection. I believe in balancing work with activities that bring happiness and help recharge, and I encourage my clients to find what recharges them too.
What to Expect When You Reach Out
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and that’s completely normal. Once you contact me, we’ll start with a brief conversation to talk through what you’re looking for and how I might be able to help. If we’re a good fit, I’ll walk you through the next steps, like paperwork and scheduling, so you’re set up before your first session.
